ABOUT US
The Britannia Business Association
A national institution of business owners and leaders committed to strengthening Britain’s economic, cultural, and workplace standards.
Who We Are
The Britannia Business Association brings together people who still believe that how we conduct ourselves in business matters—not just for profit, but for the kind of country we leave behind.
We unite owners, directors, and leaders who hold to the values that built British enterprise: Integrity. Merit. Dignity. Hard work. Community. We believe that business is more than transactions—it is a responsibility to others, a duty to act fairly, and an opportunity to build something that lasts.
In a divided time, we offer something steady and reassuring:
Belonging without ideology.
Pride without nationalism.
Heritage without politics.
Unity without partisanship.
This is a place where people can come together around shared principles and a shared sense of what “doing things properly” really means.
Our Core Values
Our Association is anchored by six foundational principles that guide how we work, how we treat one another, and how we build our businesses. Every Member signs up to these principles; every decision is measured against them.
Meritocracy First — Choosing and promoting people based on character, contribution, and capability.
Equality & Dignity — Creating workplaces where everyone is treated with absolute fairness and respect.
Fair Reward — Supporting a fair day’s pay for a fair day’s work and investing genuinely in local workers.
The Golden Rule — Acting with honesty, decency, and transparency in all professional dealings.
Dignity of Labour — Valuing hard work, personal responsibility, and pride in craftsmanship.
Heritage & Stewardship — Honoring our traditions while protecting the environment we all share.
Our National Formation Phase
We are in the early years of building a long‑term national institution—one designed to serve Britain’s business community for decades to come.
During this phase, a select group of early leaders—our Founding Members—are helping shape the Association’s standards, governance, culture, and long‑term direction. Their work now forms the foundation on which the entire institution will stand.
This is a rare moment in time: the point where the character of the Association is set, and where the people involved leave a lasting mark on its future.
Letter From the Founder
To understand the purpose behind the Association—and the values that guide our national mission—you can read a personal message from our founder, John Prendergast‑Walsh.
It explains not just what we are building, but why.
