Founding Members
40 Leaders. One Legacy.
A selective, invitation‑based appointment for leaders whose values align with the Association’s national mission.
The Founding Members form the form the inaugural National Council of the Britannia Business Association. of the Britannia Business Association — forty business leaders recognised for their commitment to fairness, dignity, responsibility, merit, and pride in Britain’s commercial heritage.
This is a one‑time, never‑again honour. Once all forty seats are appointed, the tier closes permanently.
A Private Appointment — With Selective Nomination
Founding Membership is not open for standard public application.
While many seats are filled by direct invitation, we maintain a selective nomination pathway for distinguished leaders who believe their enterprise stands as a pillar of principled British business.
If this reflects you, you may register your interest for formal consideration.
Why Leaders Accept the Invitation
Because they believe Britain needs a national institution rooted in:
Meritocracy — Fair treatment, high standards, and reward based on ability, effort, and results
Tradition — Pride in British manufacturing, engineering, and independent trade
Commerce — Dignity in the workplace, rejection of bureaucratic box‑ticking, and commitment to building resilient organisations that last
Founding Members ensure these principles remain at the heart of British enterprise.
Your Role as a Founding Member
Founding Members do not simply join an association — they anchor its direction.
Your role is one of influence and stewardship, not operational workload. As a Founder, you help guide the Association’s:
National standards & ethical direction — shaping the principles that define the Association
Merit‑based & employer‑protection frameworks — strengthening the standards that protect principled enterprise
Institutional culture & long‑term mission — setting the tone, expectations, and values of the national body
Regional & sector representation — ensuring the Association reflects the breadth of British business
Founding Members hold a permanent seat on the National Council, with full participation in the Association’s governance decisions.
This is not a working committee. It is a foundational partnership — a position of national recognition and long‑term influence.

The Appointment Meeting
Each prospective Founder participates in a short in‑person meeting. This ensures:
values alignment
clarity of expectations
mutual understanding of the Association’s mission and infrastructure
Founding Membership is a partnership — the meeting ensures it is the right fit for both sides, and confirms your suitability for a place within the National Council.
Founder identities are never published without explicit consent. Some leaders will choose public recognition on the National Register. Others will remain entirely private. Both decisions are respected. During the appointment phase, no running numbers or candidate names are published.
